About the Psalty V

    The Psalty V is a Hatteras built 50ft-sportfisher design that has been customized for diving. The features of the boat include twin 450 horsepower diesel engines, giving the vessel a cruising speed of 17 knots (19.5 mph). The speed translates into shorter running times to and from the islands. The bridge is equipped with all navigational equipment necessary to make safe passages. The list includes GPS, Loran, Auto Pilot, VHF Radio, 48 Mile Radar, and Color Bottom Finder/Fish Finder. The bridge also has seating for up to 8 people for a great view during our cruising time. The vessel is equipped with all Coast Guard approved safety equipment. The boat also carries three 20 liter bottles of oxygen, although they have never had to be used.

  The Psalty V has a 7 year safety record with only an occasional tired diver who needs some assistance. The salon (living room) features two large couches that make transits very comfortable. The salon is also equipped with a 19 inch TV/VCR and stereo. A large dining/camera table completes the amenities in the salon area. The galley is equipped with a full upright refrigerator, three burner stove, and microwave oven. The boat is equipped with everything necessary to accommodate multi-day charters of up to four days. There are two staterooms, which are capable of sleeping 5 people in beds. The master stateroom has two single beds with an attached master bathroom. The bathroom has a freshwater head (no smells), freshwater shower and sink. The forward stateroom has three individual bunks and an attached bathroom with a freshwater head and sink. All the bunks are 7’ in length and have comfortable cushions to sleep on. The salon table and couch also break down into two person bunks if necessary. For diving, the boat is equipped with 16-steel 72 cubic foot tanks, weights, and a compressor. The dive deck is also equipped with a hot water shower, large swim platform and boarding ladder. Operated like a resort boat, the crew will do all the work. All you have to do is let us know when you are ready to go.
